The currency of Singapore is the Singapore Dollar, or singdollar(SGD or $). The Brunei dollar is also accepted. There are plenty of ATMs and money changers in Singapore so access to cash will not be a problem. The legal drinking age is 18 years and over. Under the law, drinking is banned in all public places from 10.30pm to 7am. Certain areas including Little India and Geylang Serai are specified as Liquor Control Zones and are restricted even more. Persons that are caught consuming alcohol in these areas will be penalised increasingly by up to 1.5 times. The alcohol law is very strict and anyone found violating the laws can be severely punished.
